CINAHL and PsycINFO - Building searches beyond PubMed Online
Conducting a comprehensive search of the literature requires searching databases beyond PubMed. This class will show you how to take your PubMed search skills and apply them to Cinahl, the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, and PsycINFO, the premier database covering psychology, behavioral and social sciences literature.
By the end of the class, you will be able to:
- Navigate the EBSCOhost Platform which hosts both the CINAHL and PsycINFO databases.
- Identify subject headings in CINAHL and thesaurus terms in PsycINFO.
- Apply field tags, truncation, proximity operators, and limits.
- Use search history to combine search concepts
- Export search results
